Aranzazu specializes in professional nature photography and fine art wildlife captures across many markets, geographies, and typologies – especially moody landscapes.

¡Hola! I’m Aranzazu Calzado, but everyone knows me as Zazu. Although I’m originally from Spain’s sunny shores, I have now settled into life here in Texas. Honestly, my obsession with the camera started back when I was a kid. This is because I was mesmerized by the wild colors and rich traditions of my home.

Since then, photography has become my passport to exploring the wide world. Moving to Texas actually made me more curious about different faces and landscapes. To be fair, my camera and I have covered quite a bit of ground across continents. Whether it was the loud streets of Europe or the silence of the Serengeti, I captured it all. Ultimately, every photo is just a tiny piece of my own story.

To me, photography has never been just some hobby. It’s actually how I share the world’s raw beauty as I see it. My work is really just a mix of those quiet natural wonders and the deep cultural vibes I’ve picked up along the way. Honestly, I just want to connect people, no matter where they come from.

When I’m away from the lens, you’ll probably find me sketching out my next big trip or just hanging out at a local coffee shop. Sometimes, I just sit back and watch those Texas sunsets. They honestly take me right back to my roots in Spain. So, I’d love for you to come along on this journey with me. Let’s see what we can discover, one frame at a time.

About Aranzazu Photography FAQs

I got obsessed with cameras when I was a kid back in Spain. The wild colors and rich traditions of my home just mesmerized me. Moving to Texas only made me more curious. My camera became my passport to explore the world.

Moody landscapes and fine art wildlife. I love dark, silent places – the Serengeti at night, empty forests, quiet mountains. I don’t force a shot. I wait until the light feels right.

Yes, but lightly. I just adjust light and colors to match what I actually saw. No fake skies. No over-editing. Just real moments.

Nothing fancy. I use a Sony A6400 with a couple of lenses. I believe the photographer matters more than the camera. Expensive gear doesn’t mean beautiful photos.
